CASCO TWP. (WWJ) -- A bicyclist is hospitalized with serious injuries after after he was hit by a car in St. Clair County.
According to the St. Clair County Sheriff's office, multiple 9-1-1 calls came in reporting the incident just after 6 p.m. Thursday, along County Line Road near the I-94 overpass in Casco Township.
Investigators says a 43-year-old Casco Twp. woman was driving a 2015 Chevy Equinox northbound on County when the bicyclist crossed over into her lane and was hit the car.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene following the crash, and the bicyclist — identified as a 50-year-old Casco Twp. man — was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Witness statement were taken on the scene, and the investigation was still on going on Friday.
Sheriff's office said the names of those involved are not being released at this time pending notification of family.
