INKSTER (WWJ) The body of a missing teenager, who was last seen alive in Inkster, was recovered in Southfield; according to Michigan State Police (MSP).

MSP said investigators found the body of 17-year-old London Thomas on Saturday, April 26.

According to MSP; their Special Investigation Unit Section received a call from Detroit Police and the FBI to help recover her body.

Two suspects, who are "believed to be involved in her disappearance", are in custody; MSP said.

Thomas was last seen on April 5th in an Inkster neighborhood with her 23-year-old boyfriend, according to Detroit Police.

Thomas was a resident of Detroit, according to MSP.

On Thursday April 17; the FBI, Detroit Police and Inkster Police raided a home on Carlysle Street, near where Thomas was last seen, that is believed to belong to her boyfriend.

Friends, family and community members searched for her in Inkster, and Westland where her cell phone pinged near Cooper Upper Elementary on Ann Arbor Trail shortly after her disappearance.

Her boyfriend is considered a "person of interest", according to investigators. MSP, the agency leading the investigation, did not confirm whether he is one of the two suspects in custody.

In a social media post, MSP described the investigation as "fluid and ongoing."

“Our condolences go out to the family and friends of London,” First Lieutenant Mike Shaw said. “While a majority of the investigation has been completed by DPD and the FBI, there is still work to do. Our number one goal is to bring justice for London and her family. In order to accomplish this goal, we will not be releasing any further information on this investigation at this time.”
