PORT HURON, Mich. (WWJ) -- It's back to business as usual at McLaren Port Huron Hospital after a bomb threat left the hospital on lockdown for several hours Monday.
Hospital officials say they received a call around 10 a.m. from a man who was later identified as a 41-year-old from Port Huron.
Police were called to the hospital and searched the building with two K-9 units, but found nothing suspicious.
A lockdown lasted at the hospital for about three hours. Visiting hours resumed shortly after 1 p.m. and operations went back to normal, officials said.
Detectives were able to speak over the phone with the 41-year-old man, who denied making any threats.
Police are still investigating the situation. Anyone who may have information regarding the alleged bomb threat is asked to call the Port Huron Police Department at (810) 984-8415 or CAPTURE at (810) 987-6688.
