SAGINAW (WWJ) The Humane Society of Saginaw County has rescued a cat, named Milo, covered in gasoline and is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who abused him.

In a Facebook post, the Humane Society of Saginaw County said a “Good Samaritan” told them about a cat coated in gasoline on Friday. They set a trap and caught the scared little guy.

“Severe burns on his skin and all his hair falling out,” they wrote. Milo's ear had also been cut off.

He was found in Freeland, about 15 miles northwest of Saginaw.

The vets at the Humane Society are giving him fluids, flushing his system, and giving him love.

In a video that's hard to look at and shows the extent of his injuries; you can see the kitty with bald patches all over his skin but purring and content as one of the volunteers pets him.

“Are purring? Are you happy you’re clean?” the volunteer says to him.

They had a message for the suspect: “To the person who did this, you are evil trash….your day of reckoning will come.”

The most recent update said Milo ate breakfast, but his condition is still fragile.

“Please pray for him, and for justice for what was done to him,” they said.

If you know who hurt Milo, please call (989) 501-8672. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
