(WWJ) At least four more Michigan State football players facing misdemeanor charges for a skirmish at Michigan Stadium will likely have their cases dismissed.
Attorneys for the young men say the players will have to perform community service and meet other conditions.
This comes after scuffles broke out in the Big House tunnel following the October Michigan-MSU game in Ann Arbor.
Video footage -- some of which went viral on social media -- showed Michigan State players pushing, punching and kicking a Michigan player.
Angelo Grose, Itayvion Brown, Brandon Wright and Justin White returned to court Friday and agreed to sign up for a special program.
Defense lawyer Max Manoogian predicted charges would be dismissed in six months, according to a report by the Associated Press.
"It's going to happen outside of court," said Grose. "There is going to be no criminal responsibility whatsoever. There are no admissions being made, no pleas being tendered,"
A total of seven MSU players were charged as a result of the so-called "Brawl at the Big House," including MSU defensive back Khary Crump, who was allegedly caught on video striking a U of M player with his helmet.
Crump was facing a felony charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, but that charge was dropped in exchange for a misdemeanor. Crump is set to be sentenced next week.
