A deadly shooting investigation stretches from Ecorse to River Rouge, with police saying two men in their 20s were shot to death in Ecorse this morning on Jefferson Avenue.
Two women drove the victims to the police station at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday, but both men were dead on arrival.
Investigators are still trying to sort out the circumstances of the shootings. There's no word yet on any arrests. Ecorse is handling the investigation and family and friends have gathered in front of the police department, visibly upset.
"I don't know," family friend Nina told WWJ's Charlie Langton about why the shooting happened. "The violence in this city needs to stop. We're all related, we live together, we play together. These are our children, our grandchildren."
