TAYLOR (WWJ) -- One man is dead following an apparent dispute over firewood in Taylor.
WWJ's Jason Scott reports that the incident happened on Tuesday when the victim was giving away free firewood at a home on Cornell Street near Telegraph Road.
He then became upset when his 70-year-old neighbor began dragging away the wood, tearing up his driveway in the process.
The two men exchanged words, leading to gunfire. The entire incident happened in front of the victim's 15-year-old son.
Taylor police arrested the neighbor at the scene, though he claimed self-defense, saying the victim had come at him with a shovel.
The incident remains under investigation.
