
DETROIT (WWJ) A Detroit man confessed to killing his wife with a sword, police said.
Police said a man in his sixties walked into the 11th Precinct on Sunday May 4, around 4:30 a.m., and confessed to the murder.
Officers were dispatched to the home on Conley, in the area of Mound and Seven Mile.
"When they arrived at the location, they found a door unsecured," 11th Precinct Commander Michael Chambers said. "They made entry and went to an upstairs bedroom, where they found the deceased."
Officers also recovered a sword at the scene.
The man was taken into custody at the precinct. The victim was described as "in her late sixties", but her name was not released.
