DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing 17-year-old girl who left her home three weeks ago and never returned.
Allison Berger left the home in the 4800 block of Radnor -- between Mack and Warren Avenues in the Cornerstone Village neighborhood on the city's east side -- sometime in the afternoon of Aug. 23 and hasn't been seen or heard from since.
Berger's family says she suffers from mental illness and they are concerned for her safety, after being gone for two weeks.
Police say Berger is about 5-foot-7, 125 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
Berger has several tattoos -- three small black birds on the back of her neck, a colorful tree frog on the inside of her arm, and a flower on her back.
Anyone who has seen Allison Berger or knows of her whereabouts is asked to contact the Detroit Police Department.
