DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit police will continue to enforce a citywide curfew for minors on Sunday after a weekend of gun violence.

Police officials say it is "unlawful for a minor to be on a public street, sidewalk, playground, vacant lot, or other unsupervised public place," during the curfew.

For minors age 15 and under, the curfew is in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and it begins an hour later for 16- and 17-year-olds, according to DPD social media posts.

It was not clear whether anyone had been detained for breaking curfew this weekend.

The curfew comes after multiple shootings downtown Detroit this weekend. Late Friday night into Saturday morning a quadruple shooting left one person dead and three others injured, including the suspect.

On Saturday night one person was killed in Greektown, while two others were injured near the Riverwalk.

It was not immediately clear whether any minors were involved in any weekend incidents. On Thursday, multiple teens were injured in a shootout on the city's west side.
