DETROIT (WWJ) — One teenager is dead and another is hospitalized after a drive-by shooting on Detroit's east side, Monday afternoon.
Detroit police officials tell WWJ Newsradio 950 it happened about 12:30 p.m. on at the Sojurner Truth Homes apartment complex, near Nevada Avenue and Mound Road -- a little more than a block away from DPD's 11th Precinct
An 18-year-old was killed, while a 19-year-old was taken to the hospital, where they were said to be in stable condition.
Police officials did not immediately say what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
Officials have not released a description of the suspect or the car they used. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or anyone who knows something about it to call DPD.
A possible motive in the case has not been disclosed.
