DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police in Detroit are asking for the public's help in bringing home a pair of sisters who have not been seen since Friday night.
Authorities say 12-year-old Lashawn Hill and 14-year-old Malikia Sylvester had gotten into a verbal altercation with a family member and left home around 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6.
The girls left the home in the 14500 block of Forrer -- near Grand River and Greenfield on the city's west side -- and no one has seen or heard from them since.
Police describe Lashawn as about 4-foot-8, 88 lbs. She has black hair with long black and gold braids. Her sister is described as approximately

Lashawn and Malikia were last seen on Friday, August 06, 2021, at approximately 8:00 p.m. They left their residence located in the 14500 block of Forrer after a verbal altercation with a family member and haven't been seen or heard from since.
Both sisters are described as approximately 4-foot-8, 90 lbs. Lashawn has black hair with long black and gold braids, while Malikia has long burgundy braids and a nose ring, police said.

The girls are both said to be in good physical and mental condition, but their family is concerned for their safety.
Detroit police are asking anyone who has seen Lashawn Hill or Malikia Sylvester, or knows of their whereabouts, to call the Detroit Police Department's Second Precinct Investigation Unit at 596-5240.
