DETROIT (WWJ) – The search is on for the driver of a car that was caught on camera in a quadruple shooting on Detroit's east side earlier this month.
Detroit police officials say three men and a woman, aged 25 to late 40s, were standing on the corner of E. Warren Avenue and Dickerson – near Chandler Park – around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 when someone pulled up and shot them.
Video released by Detroit police shows a blue Chrysler 300 pull up to the group and fire multiple shots before driving away.
The group was standing next to a large metal object and the video shows sparks fly as the bullets hit it.
The video shows a dark-colored SUV passing the scene at the time of the shooting.
All four people were injured and treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not released a possible motive in the shooting.
Police officials are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect vehicle or knows something about the shooting to call the Detroit Police Department's Fifth Precinct at 313-596-5540 or Crimes Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
