Detroit Police search for 14-year-old girl who went missing while taking out the trash

DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for a teen girl who disappeared while taking the trash out.

Police said Jazelle Carreker, 14, went out to do the chore, during which time she walked away "without permission" on Wednesday around 7:10 p.m. She was last seen walking west on Evanston, the road she lives on (14200 block), not far from the area of I-94 and Chalmers.


Jazelle is described as 5'1" and 150 lbs. with long blonde braids. She disappeared wearing a white shirt with the words "I Can't Breathe" on it and black ripped jeans.
