(WWJ) It's a happy update to the story of a missing dog that captured the attention of people all across metro Detroit.
WWJ's Sandra McNeill reported Thursday that Bo, a 9-month-old German Shepherd, is back home safe and sound.
The 70 pound puppy disappeared after his owners' pickup truck overturned along I-696 at Halstead in Farmington Hills Wednesday afternoon, ending up in a ravine.
Both of the South Lyon residents involved in the crash, a man and a woman, were hurt and are hospitalized.
After Bo apparently ran away from the scene, police and firefighters searched the area, but found no sign of him.

Bo's owner's father isn't saying how the dog made it back home, but said the dog appears to be pretty shook up.
There is no update at this time of the condition of the injured couple.
