Detroit business break-ins
Kasey Stoddart/WWJ - FILE

(WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for a group of suspects who went on an early morning burglary spree on the city's east side.

Investigators said a series of four business break-ins took place between 2:53 a.m. and 3:31 a.m. on Wednesday.

The first hit was a gas station in the 6300 block of E. Jefferson Ave., followed by a coffee shop in the 7200 block of E. Jefferson. The next two were both dollar stores, in the 10900 block of E. Jefferson and 17900 block of E. Warren.

At each location, police said it appears that the suspects pried open the front doors to get inside. Among items stolen were cash and cigarettes, police said.

Police said the suspects are described as four Black males, using a white Dodge Charger with two black racing stripes.
