
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police is turning to the public for help after a 67-year-old man living with mental health conditions left a family member's home almost a week ago and failed to return.
Gilbert Lester, 67, has been missing since Sunday, Sept. 10 when he was last seen leaving his sister's home in 18000 block of Oakfield, the Detroit Police Department said.
He has not been seen or heard from since.
According to Lester's sister, he is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia.
Police and family members are now asking local residents for help in finding Lester and bring him safely back home.
Lester is described as a Black male standing 5' 9" and weighing between 130 and 140 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. He has no known identifying marks or tattoos.
The 67-year-old was last known to be wearing a gold, brown, and green plaid sweater, jeans, and white gym shoes.
