TROY (WWJ) -- A woman was seen swerving on I-75 in Oakland County before she was arrested for drunken driving, according to police.
Early in the evening of April 4, calls came in to dispatch about a driver who'd almost struck the freeway barrier on northbound I-75 near Rochester Rd.
Troy Police located the suspect vehicle, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, in the area of Rochester Rd. and Long Lake Rd. where they pulled the driver over after seeing her swerving.
The driver, a 34-year-old Clarkston woman, had "extremely bloodshot" eyes and smelled like alcohol, the officers reported.
When questioned by the cops, the driver stated she was coming from a wedding and had one glass of wine earlier in the evening.
The driver performed poorly when asked to perform several sobriety evaluations, police said, and preliminary breath test showed her BAC was .25%, which is more then three times the legal limit for driving in Michigan.
The woman, whose name was not released, was arrested and transported to Troy Police Lock-Up where she agreed to submit to a Chemical Breath Test with results of .23% and .22%, police said
She was charged with Operating With a Blood Alcohol Content of .17 of More.
