(WWJ) - Peck Elementary School in Macomb County released a "stranger danger" reminder to parents of children in the Center Line School District after one of their students was approached at a bus stop on Tuesday.

A release from the school said the elementary-aged girl was waiting for her bus when an unknown vehicle drove passed her twice.
The girl felt uncomfortable with the way the driver was looking at her -- she ran home and told her mother, who reported the incident to school officials.
The driver was described as a male wearing black sweats while the passenger was wearing white and grey sweats. They were driving a red pick up truck with white furniture in the cargo bed.
While it is unknown if the student was in any danger, Megan Evoy -- principal of Peck Elementary -- released a district-wide "stranger danger" reminder to all students, regardless of age.
"Please continue to remind your child/ren about the importance of being safe when away from home or school" Evoy wrote in her statement.
"Remind them to always walk in groups, report all suspicious activity to parents and school officials, and never give out personal information."
If students believe they are being followed, Evoy advised they first find a safe place, then call for help.
"The safety of the students in our district is our primary concern, and we will continue to talk with students about using safety rules at all times."
Parents with additional questions or concerns are encouraged to call Evoy directly at 586-510-2600 or the Peck Elementary School front desk at 586-510-2000.
