Family worried about 47-year-old grandmother who disappeared last month in Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the whereabouts of a Detroit woman who's been missing for several weeks.

LaKeia Johnson, 47, was last seen the week of March 20 in the area of Pinehurst and Joy Road, where she was dropped off by her mother, according to investigators.


The following week, Johnson and her mom texted back and forth, but she has not been seen or heard from by her family since.

Johnson studied Morturary Science at Wayne County Community College District in Detroit. According to Crime Stoppers, she is "a mother, grandmother, cousin, niece and the daughter of a mother who's very concerned about her whereabouts."

Johnson's mother added that her daughter and the rest of the family were excited about Johnson's plans to move into a home in the month of April.

According to her loved ones, it's not like Johnson to not be in contact with family.

Johnson is described as 5'7'' tall and around 160 lbs., with dark brown eyes.
