FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- Do you know this man? Police want to talk to him about a murder in Farmington Hills.

The body of 65-year-old Richard Alan Harris of Farmington Hills was found May 3, in Woodland Hills Park, along Farmington Road near I-696.

Investigators have confirmed his death as a homicide, the Farmington Hills Department said, although police haven not released any information about how Harris was killed, or about a possible motive in the case.

On Wednesday, police released a sketch of a man whom they're calling a "person of interest" as described by several witnesses who saw him in Woodland Hills Park on May 3,

He is described as a man, 20 to 30 years old, average height with a slender build, black hair, a scruffy beard and olive-toned skin.

"Some witnesses observed this male in the park prior to Mr. Harris’ arrival and others placed him in proximity to Mr. Harris," the Farmington Hills PD said, in a statement. "Investigators believe that the individual described in the sketch may have information that could assist in this investigation."

Detectives are continuing to follow up on tips and leads, conduct interviews and process evidence as the investigation continues.

Anyone with information, or who recognizes the man in the sketch, should call the Police Department’s command desk at 248 871 2610. Callers may remain anonymous.
