They're not saying where he did it, but Ferndale police say they just arrested a man who they started investigating in July for allegedly recording unclothed victims in a restroom with a hidden camera.
The suspect saved the recordings but did not distribute them, say detectives who identified and interviewed all the victims of the crimes. The suspect, Tyler Tierney, was arrested by the Ferndale Police Department on November 16, 2020.
Police did not say if the victims were men or women or if the bathroom was in a public place or a private residence. All victims have been notified, police said.
On November 16, 2020, Tierney, 29, of Ferndale was arraigned by 43rd District Court Magistrate Brennan for five counts of Surveilling an Unclothed Person, each is a five year felony. Tierney was given a $20,000 personal bond and is scheduled to appear next on November 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
