
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Although Metro Detroit is looking like it won't be receiving the 12-18 inches of snow previously forecasted, there was a lot of accumulation, with some cities having more to shovel than others.
After 15 hours of snowfall, the National Weather Service said Metro Detroit saw about 4 to 6 inches of snow.
The NWS reported that most of the heavier snow seemed to fall to the west and north of the Detroit area.
Here are official snow totals from the NWS for select areas as reported at various times on Wednesday or Thursday:

• New Baltimore -- 2.5 inches
• Canton Township -- 3 inches
• St. Clair Shores -- 4 inches
• Sterling Heights -- 4 inches
• Troy -- 4 inches
• Chelsea -- 4.3 inches
• Ann Arbor -- 4.5 inches
• Commerce -- 4.5 inches
• Novi -- 4.5 inches
• Brighton -- 5.1 inches
• Wixom -- 5.1 inches
• Pinckney -- 5.4 inches
• Clio -- 5.5 inches
• Marine City -- 5.5 inches
• Ottawa Lake -- 5.5 inches
• Ypsilanti -- 5.7 inches
• Garden City -- 5.8 inches
• Clarkston -- 6 inches
• Wyandotte -- 6 inches
• Romulus -- 6.2 inches
• Flushing -- 6.5 inches
• Linden -- 6.6 inches
• Shelby Township -- 6.6 inches
• Highland -- 6.8 inches
