DETROIT (WWJ) -- Residents in an apartment building on Detroit's west side are looking for a new place to live after fire ripped through their homes on Wednesday night.
WWJ's Charlie Langton reports that the blaze broke out around 7:30 p.m. at Infinity Apartments, located in the city's Brightmoor neighborhood near I-96 and Telegraph.
Detroit firefighters were able to contain the fire before it spread to other apartments, but at least one unit has been deemed a total loss.
According to a neighbor, the family who was living in the unit had just moved in last week.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The investigation into what caused the fire continues.
