FLAT ROCK (WWJ) A Flat Rock man wanted for questioning in the death of his wife is in custody.
Flat Rock Police say members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Amos Lowe Thursday around 12:30 p.m. in Southgate.
Officers found Lowe’s wife dead at their home on Gibraltar Rd. (25,000 block) near Mayfair around 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.
WDIV reports the officers arrived at the couple’s home for a welfare check after a friend told police she was concerned about the 30-year-old victim.
The woman’s name has still not been released pending notification of her next of kin.
“Our thoughts go out to the victim’s family, and we would ask that the community keep them in their thoughts and prayers as they try and deal with this tragic event,” Flat Rock Police said in a release.
Lowe has been named a Person of Interest in his wife's death.
