DETROIT (WWJ) -- Ford Motor Co. is recalling thousands of vehicles because of an issue with a seat.
The National Transportation Safety Administration (NTSA) on Friday announced that Ford is recalling around 180,000 trucks and SUVs across the U.S. because a bolt could come loose in the front seat.
The primary concern, WWJ Auto Beat Reporter Jeff Gilbert reported: "The seats may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash."
Owners of these vehicles may notice squeaks, looseness or rattles; although no related crashes or injuries have been reported, Gilbert said.
It impacts certain 2024 to 2026 Ford Ranger and Bronco vehicles.
Owners will be notified, and the seats will be fixed by dealers free of charge.
