(WWJ) It will be a beautiful day for a walk in the park, and it won't cost you a dime.

In honor of Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2020, Huron-Clinton Metroparks are waiving park entry fees to all 13 park across southeast Michigan. Everyone can explore, rediscover and enjoy all day long, with no entry fees charged.

Spend the day biking, hiking, fishing and forest bathing. Relax, rejuvenate and reflect, taking time to appreciate and thank the veterans in your life. Golf courses are still open, and the weather is great for a round of golf. (Tee times and golf fees still apply.)

Toll booths will still be staffed to answer questions, provide information and give you the ability to purchase discounted 2021 annual passes at discount. Starting January 1, the Metroparks 2021 annual pass will cost $40 for residents of the five Metroparks counties, and $45 for non-residents. But now through December 31, everyone can purchase their 2021 pass for just $35.

Explore parks, purchase an annual pass and more at www.metroparks.com. Read about COVID-19 safety precautions at the parks HERE.

Oakland County Parks and Recreation is also offering free park entry to all guests in honor of Veterans Day.

Visitors can enjoy access to natural areas, trails, dog parks and all park amenities. Park hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, or as posted at the park.
