Michigan State Police are investigating a shooting that happened along a Detroit freeway late Tuesday night.
The driver of a Dodge SUV called 911 around 11:15 p.m., stating that he was at the top of the ramp from eastbound I-96 to Greenfield when someone started shooting at him.
The man was not struck, but his vehicle was hit.
The suspect is described as a young black man, driving a light-colored car. He was last seen southbound on Greenfield Road.
The shooting remains under investigation. It's one of dozens of shootings that have erupted along metro Detroit freeway since the first pandemic lockdown in March. None of them have been connected to each other, and multiple suspects have been for singular incidents.
