An early morning freeway shooting along 7 Mile Road in Detroit led to a two-car crash, police said.
Here's how it breaks down: Michigan State Police said a driver was shot by another motorist just before 3:30 a.m. Monday. The victim, injured, drove northbound along the Southfield freeway, until coming to a stop in the left lane.
And that's where the driver was struck by another motorist.
The victim exited the vehicle and fled on foot, but was eventually located by officers.
The shooting remains under investigation by Detroit police while Michigan State Police investigate the traffic crash.
