
(WWJ) -- Governor Whitmer is embarking on another overseas trip.
Its the governor's latest effort to attract businesses and investors to Michigan. She, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and public and private sector leaders from across the state are heading to Japan and Singapore in an outreach mission.
Tariffs will be near the top of the agenda, as will highlighting all of the things that make Michigan an attractive place to invest in.
“Singapore is one of the most dynamic economies in the world, a global hub for finance, advanced manufacturing, and clean energy,” said Governor Whitmer. “By making this first-of-its-kind visit, we are opening the door for new trade opportunities, building connections with business leaders, and showing that Michigan is a reliable and innovative partner for the future"
This will be Whitmer's fourth such trip of the year, having previously visited Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and the United Arab Emirates.
