DETROIT (WWJ) -- A Highland Park man faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on charges that he hit a Wayne State University employee with his car while driving recklessly, killing him.
Antoine Lamar Bradley, 31, was arraigned over the weekend on a charge of Reckless Driving Causing Death, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
At around 8:40 a.m. on Jan. 8, prosecutors said Bradley was speeding northbound on Woodward Ave., at Warren Ave. near WSU, when he "disregarded the traffic signal" and hit 42-year-old Sharif AliDinar of Detroit.
AliDinar, who worked as a financial aid officer at WSU, was found by first responders unresponsive on the on the grass nearby, suffering from a head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bradley appeared on Jan. 11 in 36th District Court where a magistrate set his bond at $50,000 cash/surety.
His next court date is a Probable Cause Conference scheduled for Jan. 21, to be followed by a Preliminary Examination set for Jan. 28.
