(WWJ) Detroit Police are asking for help to find two people wanted in the still-unsolved shooting death of a young woman late last year on the city's east side.

The slaying happened at around 1:40 a.m. the day after Christmas, December 26, 2020.

According to investigators, 18-year-old Casey Willis — a Wayne State University student — was sitting with an 18-year-old man inside a gray 2017 Honda Civic in the 18000 block of Cardoni, when two masked men approached.

One of the men opened fire at the car, killing Willis.

The suspects then fled the area.

Surveillance video from a neighbor's home showed a man in a ski mask with what appears to be a semi-automatic, according to investigators.

While the case remains open, the DPD on Monday released a grainy image of the the suspects.

Suspect number one is described as a Black male, wearing all black clothing, and armed with a gun.

Suspect two is described as a Black male, wearing light clothing.

Anyone who can identify these wanted men or who has any information that could help investigators solve this case is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260. Or, to remain 100% anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587).
