DETROIT (WWJ) -- A young suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Detroit's north end.
Detroit police said this week they were looking for three minors — ages 12 to 14 years old — accused of checking door handles in the area of Beaubien and Piquette. After an alarm went off, a woman and her husband went to investigate.

The woman followed them in her car, confronted and scolded them, police said.
That's one of the young suspects pulled out a gun and fired two shots.
One round went through the woman's car windshield and dashboard before hitting her in the chest.
The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment, and is expected to recover.
In an update, the DPD said one young suspect is now in custody. Police did not say how old he is.
The other two had also been identified, police said.
No further details were released, with expected charges pending.
