(WWJ) -- A recall alert has been issued by KIA for over 410,000 vehicles to fix a problem with air bags failing to deploy during a crash.
The recall covers a variety of KIA models, including the 2017-18 Forte’s and Sedona minivans, as well as the Soul and electric Soul from 2017-19.
According to the automaker, a possible electrical problem within the airbag control unit can prevent the air bags from inflating.
There have been 13 customer complaints and 947 warranty claims regarding the issue so far, though no injuries have been reported.
Vehicle owners will be notified via mail beginning on March 21, at which time they can take their vehicles to the dealership for inspection and have the computer either updates or replaced.
