GARDEN CITY (WWJ) -- After surrendering to authorities earlier this week, a man believed to be involved in a recent homicide has now been charged in connection with a separate Michigan State Police investigation from February.

Jamere Miller, 36, is the prime suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Patrice Wilson, who was taken at gunpoint from the parking lot at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Wilson, 29, was a nurse and had previously been involved with Miller. Her body was discovered in the back of her SUV on Sunday morning, and Miller turned himself into police later that day.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is still reviewing a warrant request from the Detroit Police Department regarding Miller's involvement in Wilson's death. Officials do not expect a decision to be made regarding charges until at least next week.

Meanwhile, the charges filed in Taylor on Wednesday stem from an unknown incident that occurred on Feb. 23, 2023, with Michigan State Police from the Metro South Post overseeing the investigation.

Miller now faces three counts of delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance, seven counts of felony firearm and four counts of weapons and ammunition possession by a felon.

Bond was set at $1 million, and Miller is expected back in court on May 30 for a probable cause conference, per WDIV.

In addition to these most recent run-ins with the law, Miller also has ties to a missing Romulus woman, Bianca Green, who was last seen in 2011. Miller and Green had a son together and were expecting a second child at the time of her disappearance.
