DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two suspects — one adult and one suspected teen — are wanted in connection with two crimes, two days in a row, at two coffee shops in Detroit.
According to Detroit Police, the first incident happened last Sunday, June 8, at a coffee shop in the 9300 block of Rosa Parks Blvd.
Just after 3 a.m., police said two suspects broke into the business and srole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
In the second incident, the next morning at around 5:15 a.m., police said the same two suspects, wearing the same clothing, broke into a coffee shop in the 9400 block of John R Rd. and stole the cash register, containing an undisclosed amount of money.
The second incident was captured on a Ring video camera set up inside the store.
Suspect number one is described as a man, around 40 years old, with long locs. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.
The second suspects is described as a boy believed to be in his teens, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan shorts, and white gym shoes. An image taken from security footage released by police shows he was carrying a hammer.
Police are asking anyone who can identify the suspects, or who had any helpful information about this case, to call the DPD's 3rd Precinct at 313-596-1340, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP (1-800-773-2587).
