Police say a man was killed and a 3-year-old injured when a 2005 Chevrolet pickup traveling south on US-127 crossed the center line and struck a northbound semi tractor.
The pickup truck driver was a 32 year old Napoleon, Mich.; The semi was driven by a 49 year old male from Pleasant Lake, Mich.
The driver of the semi tractor was treated and released at the scene. A passenger in the pickup, a 3 year old boy from Hudson, Mich., was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, MI for minor non-life threatening injuries.
The 32 year old driver of the Chevrolet died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The crash happened in Woodstock Township, Lenawee County on Monday, January 11th at approximately 11:30am. The Michigan State Police were assisted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Division and the Addison Fire Department.
