DETROIT (WWJ) A motorcyclist died when a car struck him on Detroit's east side, police said.
Detroit Police said the crash happened on Saturday, August 22, shortly before 8:00 p.m., on E. 8 Mile at Hamburg, in the area of Groesbeck Highway.
According to authorities, a driver in a car disregarded a stop sign and hit the motorcycle. First responders pronounced the motorcyclist, in his 40s, dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, and a teen girl riding with her, are both hospitalized in stable condition.
Police have not indicated if alcohol, drugs or distracted driving could be factors. They did not release the man's name or city of residence.
