DETROIT (WWJ) -- A man was killed in a shooting outside a Detroit factory that allegedly stemmed from a dispute over a food delivery.

LaCreisa Banks told WWJ Newsradio 950's Charlie Langton that her 31-year old son, Harmond Ulmer, died after he was shot late Sunday night at his workplace, Detroit Manufacturing Systems.

Banks said there was an argument about a food delivery between her son and a security guard at the building, near Davison and Schoolcraft.

Police said two men started shooting at each other, at around 11:30 p.m., and the employee was killed.

The security guard was taken into custody.

"He's a good boy," Bank said, of her late son. "I'm not gonna say he's a perfect kid, but everyone here praised him, you know, at the job. And I'm glad that I had people to justify my son's character to know that he was a good gentleman."

The guard's name has not been released. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
