Police in Lincoln Park are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another injured ... and a shooter on the run.
The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. Monday along Hanover Avenue, near Southfield Road and I-75.
Police tell WWJ they are still searching for the gunman. Circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation and police have not released any information about the suspect.
Michigan State Police were assisting at the scene, later in the morning.
This follows another shooting that rocked the small town on Friday morning when two men in a fight turned into one man shooting the other.
"It looked like there were two girls and then another guy that were fighting and they were punching and she was like ringing him around her neck and they were just fist fighting on the sidewalk," witness Christine Johnson told WDIV-TV.
Investigators said it was possibly a domestic incident and said the victim and the shooter knew each other.
