(WWJ) Detroit Police are asking for help from the public as they search for a man wanted in two sexual assaults and an armed robbery at a local dollar store.
According to investigators, the man walked into the Dollar Tree -- in the 20400 block of Van Dyke on the city's east side -- just before 10 p.m. Monday.
He approached the counter, acting as if he was going to purchase a product, police said, but pulled out a gun instead.
Police said the armed man then forced the two Dollar Tree employees, women ages 56 and 43, into the office, demanding money from the store's safe and registers.
After they handed over the cash, police say the the suspect sexually assaulted the women.
Both victims were able to escape following the attact, and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a Black male, around 5'5"tall. He was last seen wearing a black top with a hood, blue khaki pants (similar to uniform pants) and bright white shoes.
Police released a surveilence photo of the man on Tuesday, in hopes that someone in the public can identify him.
