FRASER (WWJ) - A special needs man who was discovered wandering around Fraser on Tuesday morning is safely back at home after police turned to the public for help.
Fraser Department of Public Safety said in a social media post around 10:20 a.m. that they needed tips from residents after a man named Mikey was found walking in the area of 15 Mile and Utica.
Officials said the man was able to tell them that he goes by Mikey and he has special needs, but he is unsure of where he came from and could not remember his home address.
Authorities asked for anyone with information on Mikey to please contact the department. The Facebook post was shared over 1,500 times and led to Mikey being safely reunited with his family.
The circumstances leading up to the man being found by authorities remains unclear.
