EASTPOINTE (WWJ) -- A trial will get underway this fall for the woman charged with murder after allegedly stabbing and killing her manager at a McDonald's in Eastpointe.
A hearing was held this morning for Afeni Muhammad, 27, in Macomb County Circuit Court.

However, the judge is moving forward, setting a trial date of September 15, 2026.
Authorities said Muhamma she was sent home from work on July 10, 2025, returned to the restaurant with a kitchen knife and stabbed Jennifer Harris, a 39-year-old mother of six, as many as 15 times.
She's been charged with first degree murder and carrying a dangerous weapon.
