(WWJ) Mourners are gathering in three Metro Detroit communities that were home to the victims of this week's mass shooting on the campus of Michigan State University.

The memorial for 20-year-old Brian Fraser of Grosse Pointe was Friday at Verheyden Funeral Home in Grosse Pointe Park. Fraser was a sophomore and a Business major at MSU. He also served as Chapter President for his fraternity, Phi Delta Theta.

A service for 20-year-old Alexandria Verner also took place Friday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson. An MSU Junior, Verner was studying biology and anthropology.

On Saturday, a service will be held in memory of Arielle Anderson at First English Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grosse Point Woods. Anderson was 19 years old, a Junior and a straight-A student who wanted to be a surgeon.

Tim Davis, Anderson's uncle, described Arielle as a free spirit and said, "she loved the college experience."

For Davis, it has been a week of conflicting emotions at the loss of his niece. "It's tragic, it's a horrible feeling," he said.

Five other victims remain hospitalized. Four are still listed in critical condition, while one has been upgraded to stable status.

Law enforcement's investigation into the campus shooting is ongoing.
