DETROIT (WWJ) – After what was a cold and blustery weekend in Metro Detroit, the weather that's on its way to the area may feel like a heat wave.

Temperatures dipped into the teens on Friday, with wind chills falling below zero in many areas. But on Sunday, Metro Detroiters were treated to a much more mild day, with temps approaching the mid-40s.

Forecasters say temperatures will drop overnight and we could even see some light snow flurries.

While Monday's high is expected to be a bit cooler – around 35 degrees – AccuWeather meteorologist Matt Benz says we can expect to see some sunshine, before temps rebound on Tuesday.

Tuesday's high is expected to be about 49, with some areas perhaps breaking 50, though there could be some rain showers earlier in the day.

Temperatures could approach 50 on Wednesday and Thursday as well, according to Benz, though AccuWeather is predicting we could see some snow return to the area next weekend.
