The website has a message that says “permanently closed,” telling customers “we are truly grateful for your business.”

The restaurant had been a popular spot in downtown Detroit since Symon, a celebrity chef on Food Network, opened it back in 2008 at the same time the historic hotel reopened.

The restaurant did not provide a reason for the closure, but the Westin Book Cadillac recently sold to a developer form Cleveland, according to a report from the Detroit Free Press.

Plans for the hotel under new ownership are not clear.

The Free Press reported while the restaurant was closed on Sunday, as it is every week, the space appeared to be empty.
