LANSING (WWJ) -- The latest surge of coronavirus in Michigan looks to be subsiding.
New numbers released from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services on Tuesday show that the latest COVID-19 case counts and death figures have decreased.
MDHHS reported just over 21,000 cases and 65 deaths over the past three days.
That's an average of 7,000 cases per day, which is about half the number of cases from last week's report as well as the lowest number of cases Michigan has seen since December.
Hospitalizations have also gone down with about 3,300 COVID-19 patients in the hospital statewide -- the lowest number since Nov. 15.
