(WWJ/AP) Authorities are searching for a wanted driver after three children were injured in a hit-and-run in southern Michigan.

According to Michigan State Police, the driver of an SUV was headed northbound on Ralston Rd. in Marshall when it ran off the roadway, and struck three siblings who were riding their bikes.


WWZM-TV reported that a 14-year-old boy was airlifted from the scene, and a 14-year-old girl and 7-year-old by were also taken to local hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Police said the suspect fled the scene following the crash, and remained at large on Tuesday.

He or she was driving silver Chevy Equinox that will likely have extensive damage, including a missing passenger side headlight and missing passenger mirror.

The vehicle's front bumper cover was also dragged along the roadway as the SUV was driven away. It was last seen headed west on Blossom Rd.
