(WWJ) — A 35-year-old woman from Mid-Michigan has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly driving drunk and crashing into a large group of pedestrians Saturday, killing two people and injuring more than a dozen others.

Ashley Monroe of Perrinton — about 40 miles north of Lansing — is being held on $1 million bond, the Clinton County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

Monroe -- who is a pregnant mother, according to multiple reports -- is suspected of driving under the influence when she crashed into the group, who was walking in the area of South Waucousta Road near Corrison Road in Watertown Township — just northwest of Lansing — around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say Monroe fled the scene after the crash. She was stopped by deputies several miles away and taken into custody. Officers found an open bottle of Crown Royal in her purse, according to the report from WILX in Lansing.

Jonathan Esch, 30, and Daniel Harris, 42, were both pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office identified the victims on Monday.

The sheriff's office also released more details about the other victims, ranging in age from toddler to a woman in her 60s. A 38-year-old woman remains in critical condition Monday.

Eight children — two 2-year-olds, a 3-year-old, two 6-year-olds, a 7-year-old, an 8-year-old and a 16-year-old — all sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

In addition to the woman in critical condition, five other adult women, ages 28 to 61, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

All of the victims are related, according to a report from WILX.

Monroe was arraigned Monday on the following charges:
• Two counts of operating while Intoxicated causing death
• Two counts of failure to stop at scene of accident when at fault causing death
• Six counts of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury
• One Count of failure to stop at scene of accident resulting in serious impairment or death

Monroe reportedly blew a .183 BAC, more than twice the legal limit. She is due back in court on May 30.
