(WWJ) A crash in Monroe Township has left a man fighting for his life.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said a Monroe man, 43, was driving a purple Jeep Liberty on LaPlasiance south of Hull. The man lost control of the car for an unknown reason and crashed into a ditch.
The Jeep then struck the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks causing it to overturn several times before halting.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt, according to the Sheriff. It is unclear if speed or drugs/alcohol were factors in the crash.
His identity is being withheld pending notification of the family. He is hospitalized in critical condition.
